FEATURES
| The Micropack CCTV FDS Flame Detection System is a combined flame detection and surveillance system. The detectors are based on a unique video imaging based flame detection technology developed by Micropack. The CCTV FDS system has been specifically designed for use in the extreme marine environments experienced offshore. The CCTV FDS system has locally mounted cameras providing automatic annunciation of flames to the central control room or, if required other remote locations. The unique software algorithms are capable of discriminating between genuine fire conditions and other radiant sources that may cause conventional detectors to produce unwanted alarms. CCTV Flame Detection System The CCTV system can operate as a stand alone Fire detection system or can be integrated with other control systems. The cameras can be located throughout the installation to achieve the specific detection coverage. The cameras are fixed to ensure that the clients detection performance requirements are always met. Each camera provides local video data and fire alarm/fault signaling to the control equipment. This equipment provides the operator with full display and alarm handling facilities. Interfaces to the main installation control facilities are also provided, this can be configured to the clients specific requirements. The CCTV system is an imaging based flame detection system. Each camera operates standalone and incorporates, within a single unit, an integrated CCTV system and Digital Signal Processing and Software Algorithms to process the live video image and interpret flame characteristics. | ||

| Operator Interface The CCTV system provides full display and alarm handling facilities with two or more monitors, audible alarms and operator keypad and controls. The dual monitors provide the operators with geographic mimic(s) of the installation, camera locations, and a live video image from the specified camera. The system automatically generates audible and visual alarms under confirmed fire conditions. The operator controls provide for general surveillance facilities and full system status interrogation under both quiescent and fire scenarios. The CCTV Systems can be configured to fully meet the clients specific requirements for control actions, control logic and signaling, and audible / visual indications.
Remote Locations The remote access server provides a secure means for the full capability of the CCTV system, in terms of general video surveillance and full system status interrogation under both quiescent and alarms conditions, to be displayed and operated from one or more geographically remote locations. The server prevents any unauthorized access to the CCTV system. In addition the system provides a means for remote fault diagnosis, configuration and maintenance. | Surveillance system The system provides a live video image from each camera allowing a remote operator to interrogate the system and, during an alarm situation, see the hazard develop. The flame detection cameras can be individually configured to operate as a combined CCTV and Flame detection system or as a CCTV surveillance system only (with the flame detection capability disabled). The inclusion of a VCR allows the live video image to be recorded for post event analysis or training purposes. | ||

| Detection Coverage The CCTV system can detect pool fire of 10kW, or greater, at 10m within a 90 degree cone of vision. The cameras will only respond to visible flames within their field of view. In this way the CCTV system provide a high level of discrimination from unwanted sources of false alarm. The cameras also reduce the likelihood of cross propagation of alarms caused by fires or products of fires burning outside its field of view. Automatic Executive Action The system can provide automatic control signals, on a fire zone basis, for single alarm and confirmed dual alarm operation suitable for an unmanned installation. The system can be configured to meet the clients specific requirements for control logic and signaling. Typically two or more cameras will protect each fire area. The CCTV system generates and audible and visual indication on a single fire alarm. Control action will be automatically taken on a confirmed fire alarm from both cameras. Time delays and other control logic can be included. | ||
